SILVERSMITHING COURSES
A prerequisite for any of our silversmithing courses is that people wishing to be enrolled in the courses must first show a commitment towards the club by undertaking a lapidary (cabochon) course or a gem faceting course at our club.
We offer 3 different grades of silversmithing courses.
They areBeginners CourseIntermediate CourseAdvanced Course
The Beginners Course involves 3 lessons which cover the basics of silversmithing.The first lesson covers sawing, inlay, and piercing.The second lesson is soldering and you will make a simple ring.The third lesson will consolidate your soldering knowledge and you will make a small pendant.
The Intermediate Course will include more difficult projects and will reinforce what you learned in the Beginners Course as well as covering more complex techniques.
The Advanced Course will further your knowledge in silversmithing and open up a whole new world to you in which your creativity will blossom. You will be able to design and make your own stunning jewellery.
